Interesting. I notice that you also had the location marked as a speed trap. I occurs to me that if a location is marked as a speed trap, then Escort may have intended for the firmware to prevent Autolearn from automatically locking out false alerts nearby a marked speed trap location. It appears though that you can't unlock the location either, which of course would be a bug.
After flashing the latest firmware, clear all lockout data and marked locations, and then turn Autolearn off. I always manually do a factory reset after flashing with RD Tools. Here is how I would then test:
-- Mark the speed sign location as a speed trap.
-- Try manually locking out the location and manually unlocking the location. Note that, in order to be sure that the change to the truelock status of the location gets correctly stored, you must drive 1 mile past the location and power cycle the 9500ix
using its power button.
-- Try somewhat similar tests after turning Autolearn back on and see what happens after you have driven by the location three times. Note that you should drive 1 mile past the location and power cycle the 9500ix before doing the next run.
In any event and if there is a bug, hopefully you can figure out the exact scenario which Escort can use to reproduce the bug. If you do find a bug, don't email the info about the bug and the scenario to reproduce it. Instead, type up all of the info so that you can easily copy and paste it into the online chat window on their web site. The CS respresentative then will be able to immediately forward the entire online chat conversation including your bug report to engineering. This is the quickest way to be sure that your bug report reaches the right people.
