Now the cops can track your radar detector, since that is what blackline makes GPS tracking devices

I would hope Escort focuses on Radar & Laser detection ... but since they already have an $800 GPS mirror I'm not gonna hold my breath.

There are so many other neat things that could be done with GPS system which has built-in road maps which is integrated into a radar detector.

Escort and Blackline getting in bed together is probably a good business move to stay competitive in the GPS portion of the RD market. They can keep costs down and have an extensive r&d program while making all their stuff in house. Escort already holds a bunch of patents. Watch that number go up soon.
The new Belscline satelite technology will use the local Cobras and their skyward facing antennas to boost the range of your actual radar detector instead of falsing to them.

I'm so tired of hearing about GPS with radar detectors.

The only thing GPS should do is detect stop light/speed cameras. No locking out radar falses. Escort needs to step up it's game and stop trying to hook newbies with this crap and build a serious die-hard model.
