Does anyone know if there is a difference in the segment size between the autolock feature and manually locking out a false.
i'm running the ci, but i suspect the ix would be the same.
this is for k band in particular.
The reason i ask is i'm doing an experiment, (go figure, more testing ) plus i just added the ci back into my arsenal, so i have the STI-r up front (Primary) and the ci as a backup, so no discussions on the truelock locking out stuff that is real, i know all about it, and i'm not relying on the ci for primary protection.
Some initial observations:
when trying to test stationary without it staying silent, i had to disconnect the antenna. simply turning off the gps option and even autolearn didn't work.
also had to change the display from showing speed to not.
also, after turning auto back on, it locked out my k band tester the first time, so even with autolearn off, it must have been still keeping track of previous k band signals maybe?
for those wondering why the extreme setup, well, it's because i can.
also, i'm doing some experimenting with antenna placement.
my main concern and test is focusing on the low powered photo vans, however due to a lot of fixed k band speed signs, i plan on locking them out plus most other k band "falses".
so back to the first question, is there a difference in how it locks out segments using auto vs manual?
