I saw a post where it is clear that this rdd-proof was tested at Sml in june 2005 .

Every link related to Jimbonzzz news about it had vanished ??? is it an error or on purpose ?

I don't know what was tested at SML, it might have been a different unit. I know they tested Roy Zegers modified V1 there.

As far as the "spectrum analyzer" stuff, that is just some marketing terms used by Stinger DSI. I don't know what they are trying to say, but as far as I know most spectrum analyzers are superhetrodyne with a sweeping LO, much like a radar detector. Maybe it has to do with the way the signal is displayed on the DSI unit, but I don't know.

I can assure you that the Brand X unit doesn't use any kind of magic technology, it is a regular superhetrodyne receiver like the rest.

The current V1 does pretty well against the Spectre, even though it wasn't designed with the Spectre in mind. It is possible that the new Brand X unit uses some of the same techniques used in the Valentine in order to achieve Spectre immunity.
