Which Belscort Detector is the Best for Ka Band?

I'm trying to get a consensus here to what everyone thinks. I own an X50, but I want to know which detector performs absolutely the best considering KA BAND ONLY and no other bands or POP or RDDs like VG2/Spectre. Considering that SML, Speedzones, Motor Trend, Veil Guy, and Guys of Lidar all have different opinions, I want to know what your opinions are and why.

Yeah, GOL had an unbiased test. Really there were only three test sources (from what I saw). SML, RadarTest, and GOL. The others derived information from those sources. I trust the GOL test. Either way, the RX65 came out with great results. I like mine, but I am interested in a V2 (if one ever comes out). Hopefully something with a better display. :wink:

If only Ka and nothing else, the Original 8500 Rev 15 has the edge.

Going with GOL results with the rx65

I have not tried the RX-65. I will hold out for the STI now. The 985 I own outperformed the 995 on Ka band. I do realize my results may not be typical. My 985 could be a factory freak, or the 995 I tried had something wrong with it. The 995 worked fine on K band though.

From my experience there is more unit-to-unit variation on Ka band performance on the Belscorts than with the V1s.

I can't seem to find the test results ( the filefarmer GOL website doesn't seem to have it). I got a feeling I'm looking in the wrong place, could somebody give me a link?

Well that should have been obvious. Thanks jim. BTW jamal while the 8500 did do better on the results, it was only by 23'. I don't know about you but that is not impressive to me and plus different tests could bring different results. So while I do admit 8500 did better, it was not by much. The rx65 would still be a good investment.
