    Default Next Belscort detector

I am in the market for a 9500ix and I am wondering when a new detector is likely to come out. My guess on what Bel-Escort is working on would be a detector with the Spectre Immunity of the STi and the GPS functionality of the 9500i/x and GX65. Does anyone think that such a detector will be available in the next year? two years?

Also, what kind of hints towards a new detector did you see before the 9500i came out?

Hopefully they are working on an updated cordless model. If they make a cordless unit with at least M4 performance, I'll be the first one in line to buy it

I am just kind of surprised at the lack of windshield mounted Spectre Immune detectors in the Escort camp. Yes, I understand the STi is very sophisticated with it's magnesium case and low noise parts, but escort has a lot of products that don't seem very necessary as they're not very different from each other (like the C65)

Also, wouldn't it make sense to eliminate the 9500i at this point, and only have the ix?

An updated SOLO S2 sounds interesting as well jimbonzz.

You can count GPS out of any cordless detector. You know you want some TrueLock Jimbonzzz!!!!

Truelock? Oh yeah that is really great technology, especially for certain areas.

But if I had to sacrifice it for a cordless, I guess I would just have to live with it... and let my brain be my TrueLock

I dont think there is enough market for more than one stealth unit in belscorts camp. Sure there are alot of truckers out here but they either think rd's dont work or continue to use their cobra units in pure ignorance..

the next rd from Belscort will be another M4 based rd that will be called the 9500AF and will have Truelock II but will only be available at Super Kmart under the American Fair brand name

I'm curious as to why you want a cordless unit. Do you drive a lot of rental cars, or what?
