I got my first laser hit on my 9500ix as I was driving on I-10 and was crossing the Henderson Lake heading to Lafayette from New Orleans. There were no cars near me on my side or the other so I can assume it was not one of the laser sensors from one of the high end cars. I saw no LEO and other than the crossovers there are no real good hiding places on this bridge which is surrounded by water, bayou, marsh and trees. Sun was behind me. I read on another blog that Escort had told them that a cell tower could give off a false laser alert. Is this really true? The only other thing I saw was what looked like an antenna of some kind, not very tall, with a solar panel attached to it and a yellow light. Fog sensor, maybe? I have no idea what this is, but there are several on this bridge and have never alerted a laser before. I have gotten several X bands near them, but those have since been locked out. Any ideas, guys? Next time I cross I will try to get a photo of the antenna. May be a couple of week, though. Other than airports, some high end cars what else could it have been.
