Talking Blendmount for Escort Radar detectors!!

I've been looking for a quality replacement mount for my Passport 8500 x50, finally I found Blendmount. MGT Motorsports recently introduced the Blendmount for Escort and Beltronics radar detectors:

Hate it. Easy to see for both LEOs and thieves.

    Looks nice!

How does it handle vibration e.g. on rough roads? Some mounts jiggle like a bowl full of Jell-O.

It is very sturdy and doensn't vibrate much at all, I am very impressed with it!
It also comes with soft pads you can apply to your mirror (if you have an autodimming mirror) to rest the dector against.

    djrams80:
It's better than placing it in the dead center of your window with suction cups. It doesn't fall off of the window like when suction cups change temperature and release. It's not illegal (where I live) to use a radar detector so in the famous words of N.W.A., F@#$ THE POLICE. And when you park in public or somewhere there is a chance of it being stolen, take it down like you would with any other mount.

Anywho, it's all about preference. This is the mount I wanted and I thought I would share with others looking for a quality mirror stem mount.

Nice mount, i love how well the work and the simple placement.

But i would never use one, i prefer a stealth install so the LEO's don't see it when they pull me over. They are more inclined to give a ticket if they see a RD.

There are many options installing high above to the right or left of the RVM that don't shake or wobble.

Well that is all relative, my escort was in the same place as yours, but I have a 1200watt subwoofer that made it rattle. I don't have the rattling issue with the Blendmount

I tuned my 1000 watt Phoenix Gold amp with two JL 12's so it wouldn't rattle, i liked it too much by the RVM.

I've got one of these on my V1 and I really like it. It is very sturdy and adjusts to fit tight against the mirror. As to visibility it isn't as bad as you think, at least in our car because of the mirror having electrichromic on/off buttons so it kind of ties it togeather.
