I'm hoping the next firmware update also updates the 9500ci to be more like the 9500ix in distinguishing between marked locations. I miss the ix's "caution: red light camera ahead" announcement, which is much better than the ci's "approaching your marked location" announcement.
I didnt know escort radar had FORUM
they just started it. Escorts claims to use the forumn to help escort users and there product. Djrams introduced me to the forumn last week. Go there to register and voice your thoughts and concern
djrams80, in the forum link you posted, the ci does not still respond well with quick trigger pulls. MEM-TEK at one point stated that it does well with quick trigger pulls. I may have misunderstood it MEM and correct me if I'm wrong. Is it still the same Bel/escort problems with quick trigger pulls or does this pertain to POP? Can you elaborate more on that if you've done some testing with it?
DJ thanks for the vids. It seems part of the issue is a cycle time for both Escort products between the alerts. Still inconsistent though, I wonder how they fair against the quick burst with POP enabled?
There you have it folks. In general the M3 antenna (used in STi, STi-R and 9500ci) frequently will alert to Ka quick trigger pulls as short as 1/2 second. The M3 antenna will always alert to Ka quick trigger pulls of about 7/10 second or longer.
