    Default For those who ?'s

This detector is so sensitive, I just had an encounter with K band radar that has given me the upmost confidence in the X50. I was semi racing another car, which I could have taken easily. However coming down a hill I noticed my X50 giving me a weak "K" band alert. I have traveled this road many times before so I know it's a real allert!!.. I slow.... He does not.... Guess what happened next.. Yep you guessed right, cop comes out of hidding, flies past me and pulls over the not so prepared STI. I allmost feel bad for him, but if he just invested a little $ he would have avoided everything. My GOD this is the best thing since they gave out drivers licenses.... I had at least 3/4 to one mile warning.. More than enough time to figure out what was going on, and how to fix it..... If you don't have one of these, go get one. They are truly amazing.....I give the X50 Two thumbs up....

A word of advice: don't get cocky while driving with any radar detector! One of the most common mistakes is to assume that you are fully protected and will always have enough warning to slow down. Not the case! It sounds like you encountered constant radar, which is fast becoming the exception to the rule. It is very common for the police to lie in wait with the radar off and only pull the trigger when you show up. If you're travelling alone it's easy to get a ticket, and if you're racing then good luck keeping your license. These things are NOT a guarantee against being caught.

    I was skeptical he won

But lets see his reply maybe he has lots of mods

AWD Eagle talons when modded right have proven to run 10's .... right?

    Not quite
By the way a corvette or trans am with a 5.7 350 vs an sti is a different story vs an STi vs Eagle talon.
But the new STi's with the turbocharged 300hp will go 0-60 mph in about 4.6 seconds. But you may beat an STi in your trans am or whatever like Jimbonzz has if you are racing some kid that can't drive it. But if you get someone that knows what they are doing behind that STi it will beat a 5.7 V8.

DSM's are fast... if they can make it down the track.

STi's are slow anyway. The new Mustang is fastAr!
