I got the 9500ix a few weeks ago, but the range wasn't what I was looking for. Range is priority one for me, everything else is secondary.
In my time with the 9500ix, I came to really appreciate the smart cord, auto volume and brightness, and this is kind of a big one for me-the alert tones. That's the one thing I hated about my old Bel Vector 940. That stupid yelping x-band alert is totally un-called for. Why is the least important alert the most intrusive?
I am betting this thing is gonna beat the V1 by a significant margin because of the demographic they are targeting with the Redline. And with regard to this being no more than a dash-mounted 9500ci, I think that's great. I think in terms of pure performance i.e. quick trigger, Escort may surprize everyone. I say that because of the way they are marketing this thing as "pure performance." The reason for the quick trigger delay on the 9500 is to prevent falsing.
