I posted this on Escort forum last night...
"So I send my x50 which displayed 'service required' in for repair. Supposed to be painless and friendly, from what I've heard. (This is my 1st repair experience). I shipped it out ~ 7/13, on the 27th I decide to call for an update, and to ensure it was received. I found out it was repaired and ready to ship out the 24th, there was a billing issue, but it had cleared itself up before I called in. O.K. no problem send it on out.
I call on the 3rd because it hadn't arrived to get a tracking # and it is still sitting there?! No one knows why. O.K. I ask if it can be expedited, sure it will ship on the 3rd or 4th 2nd day air...and a tracking# will be emailed to me, riiiigggght.
I call the 4th (this afternoon) to follow up, and sure enough no progress. Now I'm getting a bit miffed. No one knows what the hold up is, but the CSR will try and have it shipped overnight, tomorrow, riiiggght.
Tonight I get the tracking info. Went out this evening GROUND!
I called back and spoke with the same CSR, and he said he tried to upgrade it to overnight, but it woulfd have held it from shipping today (GROUND??!!)
Bad experience Escort, this will not bode well in my future purchase decisions!
And each time I called this week I was on hold forever before connecting with a CSR. Don't know whats going on, but not nearly the experience I expected!"
Since then I have tried to contact the CSR who offered to connect me with the Service Mgr ,and also left messages requesting the Service Mgr call me. No reply.
Guess I am not a valued customer?!
Buyer beware, CSR at Escort may be changing!!
