    Question Escort 9500ix

I currenlty have an x50 and would like to buy another detector for a different car. I'm trying to dedcide between the v1,redline and the 9500ix? Does the v1 false a lot in the city. Which has better laser detection?

Any inout woulod be greatly appreciated...

v-1 false a lot in city. 9500 ix has GPS and better filtering less false and also can lock speed trap locations. and the redline is the long range possible and it is mainly for highway miles but the rest of the testing is not yet done. Ask Radar Roy about the rest of the redline performance.

That doesn't matter. A radar detector wil not save you from police laser.

If falses are a concern you really can't beat the 9500ix.

    I own both...

Nothing can touch the V1 for laser detection. However I would guess you have less than a 10% chance of being "saved" from a laser ambush with the V1. (less than 1% with any other detector.)

The V1's K-band muting helps a lot in the city. I prefer my V1 over my ix, but if false alarms are your main concern, I would recommend the ix.

RedLine is still new and will fall into a similar category as the V1 when it comes to falsing/sensitivity, but the V1 does have arrows to help decipher what’s a false and what’s real as well as some filtering settings.

Now the 9500ix is in its own world, though it is similar the above it has the ability to filter out false alerts and warn you of speed & RLC traps. I personally prefer the flexibility of the 9500ix and its quietness.

The V1 does better than the rest with Laser. But unless your faster than the speed of light even the V1 wont save you. You will need to buy a Jammer.

Jammers for police laser is the only reliable solution, don't expect to get a laser alert and have time to slow down. Once your lasered you are clocked without a jammer.

The V1 is excellent. I disabled X since its not used in Florida and used automuting options for K. I like the V1, but I'm used to hitting the mute button. Arrows are cool.

If you are really concerned with RD chatter and drive mostly in urban/suburban roads, the 9500ix will serve you better. Its very good, quiet and gives you the database feature of a GPS.

If you are mostly a highway driver the V1 would be my suggestion, although I'm eagerly waiting to learn about the Redline's performance.

Think about which criteria is most important to make the final decision.
