Default Why does Belscort need to have sites like this?

    I'm not a troll. I own 2 9500ix's (2nd one is still well under 30 days).

But after reading sites like this RadarTest.com - Best radar detector reviews from the world's most respected authority. it really makes me wonder why such sites have to exist rather than let the product stand on it's own.

After reading GOL's hints at up coming results I've ordered a V1 so I can really compare them myself. Even though many GOL's members are V1 fans, I way more trust their objectivity. This site, radartest.com, just makes me ill reading it. It's gotta be funded from Belscort, who else would benefit?

I'm sure this is old news for many of you. I've seen mention of rogue reviewers but I never bothered to track any down and I assume this is one of them.

Yeah yeah, I know, don't run them at the same time.

The reason why we test is so we can see what products we want to use personally.
RIP Duncan my BELOVED black lab son 8/7/99-3/23/11. I will miss you DEARLY.

This is a joke. They honestly think a X50 is better against I/O than the V1?!?

I've posted it before but since the OP brought it up.

Q: Which radar detector is the best? - Google Docs

I can't get the other link due to a slow connection right no. It will come later.

Did you read his article "More on the QT Radar Flap" ? I think Escort will want their money back for that one !

He makes so many ridiculous statements in that article that I'm embarrassed for him! Somebody PLEASE send him the directions for programming a V1 as he still maintains that there are no user selectable options !

I have said it before and I will say it again.

Here is a picture of Craig Peterson hard at work on one of his "fact" filled handbooks and his latest radar detector test. As you can tell from the picture, the Valentine One had shi**y detection and it stunk really bad with the falses.

I am almost to the point where I wish that radardetector.net would ban any talk of CP or radartest.com like they do with <REMOVED>. They should just post information about how CP likes to sabotage the truth and probably works for Belscort cranking out steaming piles of BS year after year. I never believed any of his BS before he was caught mountain climbing and still think he is useless. He should be added to the ranks of the Goon Squad Mafia.

It's pretty much the same with any industry. There is always reviews that are worthless and often they get the most press. With the radar detectors its easy (relatively) to quantify and prove them wrong. I sell cars and at the dealerships we feel the same way about Consumer Reports as what the people around here feel about radartest.com

Its like any other thing you read, take test results with a grain of salt. Though some tests are better than others some are very biased like RadarTest.com. Using old out of tune V1's to test newer products to make them look better is not fair and is deceitful.
