Has anyone tested Q/T with Pop on?

I think most of us have Pop off (factory default).

I see so much talk about Q/T issues here but no mention of careful testing with iPop on vs off with respect to Q/T. Where on the V1 there constantly comparing performance with Pop on vs off and it does change behavior of other stuff besides Pop.

That’s one of the interesting things, it doesn’t appear that there is any difference with POP on or off with the Escorts. Weather its because there POP doesn’t perform as well as VR's or the QT response has more to do with its design im unsure.

wouldn't it be because "POP" is a MPH-specific feature, so the frequency would need to be specific, etc- ie unless you get a MPH gun w/ POP enabled, the detector won't pick it up.

since QT can be done with any radar gun at any time, I would say it COULD be a big problem.

X2, but POP detection importance is virtually 0, so QT is still not that big of a deal especially if its not used around you.

If I have my X50 with POP on, I'll get false POP alert from other RD's and I just turn it off. You freak out when you get those POP alerts and they are loud. The other thing about Escorts/Bels POP alert, it does not distinguish if it was K or Ka band POP. That's with the X50 and STi.

I'll try it some time with POP on with the X50 rev 5.

That's true. But the STi will have a voice alert saying Ka band after the POP visual display alert comes out even though I was using the Z35 K band POP. My X50 will not have a voice alert after POP visual display.
