    Default Escort Redline 35.5 Glitch...

After doing my initial testing (see other post) of the Escort Redline, I had noticed a weakness in 35.5 Ka detection. After driving with the unit for about 2 weeks now, I have consistently noticed an absolutly unacceptable delay in 35.5 response. I have been able to reproduce this issue and have noticed it a number of times. The problem I experience is, the Redline will have up to a 6 second delay in alerting to I/O 35.5 for the first alert . After this first extremely delayed alert, the unit will detect 35.5ghz perfectly fine. Once about 20 minutes has passed, the redline will have the same 35.5 delay issue. I feel this delay is completely unacceptable and would definitly result in a I/O ticket. I have finally been able to capture this issue on video (been extremely busy). I'm sure Elvato will post his video (Drivers perspective). First thing monday morning, my Redline will be on its way back to Escort. Please watch the video and post up your thoughts.

    Here is the driver perspective.
    35.5 Ka possible Redline glitch

We also did 3 C/O runs, to see if we could duplicate the "glitch" we experienced during the last set of runs. Everything seemed normal.

Then this run happened. The other 2 runs after this one seemed OK. Seems it only does it sometimes...

Wow, that's disturbing. I wonder what could be causing such a delay ... I'm glad you guys are beta testing Escort's new product for us.

The RedLine took about 5 seconds to alert. What's up with that? Gotta love those first run glitches. I can't wait to see if we can reproduce this with other RedLine units or not.

Yea, it'd be nice if anyone else with a Redline and a 35.5 gun could post their findings.

My thoughts: Thanks for the great testing video, it takes a lot of time and I for one appreciate it very much so.

As far as the RedLine glitch goes... Escorts stupidity has finally ceased to amaze me (though in this regard I am sure they will be up to the challenge and surprise me once again). I am glad they enjoy free Beta-testers rather then doing it themselves... but seriously? Do they not understand that these videos do not shed a good light on them?

I just cannot comprehend how they let something like this go.

How far apart was the gun and the Redline for this test?

I've found (with my 34.7 Stalker gun) that the Redline will sometimes delay alert when shooting at point-blank range, possibly due to overload and confusing the filter algorithm.

So far the only 35.5 encounter I've had with mine was C/O, and it beat the V1 by a couple seconds in that encounter.

Should wait until someone else can confirm it before jumping to conclusions.

    Also what was redlines settings?

And when when you say I/O how long was the I/O shot, sorry this might be clear in the video, but I'm reading this via my phone

EDIT: I see I/O was full on after watching Video

Since no one else has reported this, I'm wondering if it's a specific problem with your particular Redline.
