You should do much more reading.
The Redline detecting at 10-13miles is BS... Any high-end unit can do virtually the same under identical conditions.
You will never get a 13mile alert in real-life.
In my opinion the 9500ix is a better detector just because it has alot of useful features for people that live in photo enforced areas or high false areas. The Redline pretty much has no features other than stealth.
If you are looking for a highway detector get a V1 over a Redline its cheaper has the arrows and works just as well if not better. If you are going to use your detector in a city or in photo enforced areas get a 9500ix.
I would check radartest.com, Craig Petterson routinely gets 12-13 miles of detection with ALL Belscort Radar Detectors......
He has made himself totally irrelevant, if my business was writing books about avoiding tickets, and reviewing RD's, I would try not to make myself the laughing stock of the industry by obviously giving false reviews.
I wish any detector could get that kind of range. I can see that it might if you take a radar power x10 and sure. lol
