Default anyone noticed this with autoscan?

when i have my bel v995 on autoscan mode (usually when i have other people in the car), it seems to be virtually false-less and doesnt alert unless the signal is alot stronger. at that point, it appears more like an instant on hit. anyone else noticed this? i dont use it often, i usually just leave it on city lox or highway, depending on where i'm driving. its kinda like city mode that works on k band too...or it seems that way

I haven't really used it that much, but doesn't it not display the visual alerts under the threshold like City Mode does?

it either doesnt alert or filters them out. it seems to put a threshold on k band too, which is wierd. doesnt do that on city

I think there is a "recent history" memory on the AutoScan feature. It seems to adapt to the environment, like it is supposed to, but it lowers the alert threshold too much IMO. I only used AutoScan a few times on my 8500 and X50 and will never use it again.

As you suspected, it does affect K band alerts (at least in my experience).

    Default I agree....

I always run my RX65 on auto scan, I think that it affects the sensativity to much. I have never really used it on highway mode. I noticed that I don't have great range or great sensativity on autoscan. I am going to run on highway for a while and see if I can tell a difference.

The company implies that it almost filters for you. It make the decisions better than you can. Just run it on autoscan and you will be fine. I am looking forward to seeing the difference.

BEL hasn't commented on a "history" feature, and keep in mind, it seems X50's AUTOSENSITIVITY and BEL's AUTOSCAN modes, while they try provide the same effect, Escort/BEL have said they use different software. I have tested my RX-65 with a K band generator and in autoscan mode it seems to alert just the same as City and Highway, and none of my K band door falses are reduced. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of what "Auto" modes do, and if the firmware has an effect on it.
