Default Redline appears to be selling well

I was on Amazon this morning and looked at Escort Redline - they had 1 left in stock, now it says: "Usually ships within 1 to 2 months". I ordered mine direct about 2 weeks ago and the guy said they were fulfilling orders placed in August.

Good luck in getting a Redline. They're not easy to get if you jumped late in the band-wagon.

I've been testing mine for the last 2 weeks and after next weekend will decide if the added threat lead time that I get from my Redline compared to my older S7 8500 (Paid over a 1000 times during the last 8yrs) is worth the $500 dollars I paid. So far it is good, but not overly impressed given the cost.

Amazon has had a few in stock over the last week, but they come and go. I ordered one from there late Fri night, and it should be here on Wed. I'm going to take it with me on a road trip next week along with the new V1. Amazon had one in stock as late as early this morning, but it went pretty quickly.

Just for the record, Cobra sells the most radar detectors so a large number being sold doesn't mean anything.

At a $500 price point, I think good sales count for something.

But it could just mean the advertising is working. If they continue to sell well over time, (at $500) that will impress me.

The RedLine is marketed as the most sensitive windshield mounted RD you can buy, which is accurate. I wouldn't think that would be that tough to sell to a customer.

Please post results in a week or two - see how this unit runs. I've only seen a limited set of results (though they all appear very impressive)

And Cobra makes the best radar detectors in the world !
I see them all the time in truck stops and Wallmart in those clamshell plastic casings - a sure sign of quality.
