    Default I need advice on a 9500ci installation on a c5 corvette

I been looking at the 9500ci sitting in my garage in the box since last christmas, and I've decided to install it after all.
Any members have it installed on a c5 corvette?
I read somewhere that is pretty hard to hit a corvette with the lights down, so I was wondering where will be a good spot to install the shifters.
    Any tips would be appreciated

    thanks

    EDIT: NVM.

Keep forgetting the models of corvettes, as the only one we own is the StingRay.

Go for the front airdams next to the fogs. That will protect your fogs during the day and give protection to your headlamps when up.

I would still veil the lamps for night use, since the ZR4s will reduce range, but can't JTG. Veil+ZR4 on that car should give you a few seconds to react.

The best results I have seen with ZR4's all have the shifters mounted close to the lights, so I would go with Batman's advice.

The ci is great and the ZR4's might do quite well on a C5.

I had a passport SRX in my Corvette for a short time and I found there were not a lot of options on my C6 for the radar antenna. I put it in the grill but it was so low the range wasn't all that great. Previously I had it in the grill of my Lincoln Mark VIII about 2 feet higher and it was much more sensitive.

If possible mount the radar antenna in the car. I didn't because it had already seen a few years of use and it looked pretty weathered.

I have since moved onto the V1 and LI combo, not looking back!

I have the radar antenna mounted down low in the grille and it rocks there!! I think it sees under the vehicles in front of me. It always alerts prior to the V1 mounted high.

I have had the exact opposite experience, and it was by a huge margin. The V1 just OWNED the SRX in that low mounting location.

Is your radar antenna mounted behind the grille or bumper, or is it outside with clear forward visibility.

I got a general idea where to mount the heads, I am also talking to Cliff to get dual LIs, but my main concern is the antenna.
There is not much room anywhere to be mounted, unless I put it really low.

    thanks
