Twice now, I've had a laser alert - which I think is false - in an odd spot. I'm curious what you guys think it is.
Both alerts occurred in the same spot in the office park where I work. I couldn't find a LEO either time. Not that it's impossible for me to miss one, but there really aren't good places to hide in this particular spot. And both times, if there'd been a LEO shooting laser, I probably would have got the chance to meet him
Also, it's in a quieter part of the office park where I just don't think they would sit - not that productive, and probably not a place that would generate speed complaints from anyone.
There is an interstate about 1500 feet away and running parallel to the road in the office park, with grassy field in between. I suppose I could have been right in line with a LEO's trap on the interstate, but it sure seems like a coincidence. (although that's probably my hypothesis at this point).
There's nothing in the immediate vicinity that I can imagine causing an alert. It's pretty empty. And I was the only car around at the time - so no Infiniti LED brakelights causing a false.
Oh, and these 2 alerts are the only times anything like this has happened. I think they might be the only laser alerts I've received, but that doesn't seem unreasonable given the LEOs I've observed. Radar detection seems fine, knock on wood, so I don't think it's my RD.
Any thoughts?
