My wife had just come through Jackson. MS on her way home to New Orleans when she got lit up with K band from the rear by a MSP.
Here is how she told it to me. She had just lost her rabbit to an exit about a 1/2 mile prior when she crested a hill and was on her descent. She had not adjusted her speed since losing her rabbit. She told me there was hardly anyone on the road and prior to cresting the hill she had looked in the rvm and no one was behind her or even close. After the hill about a 1/4 mile she looks up and sees a crown vic behind her. She didn't hit the brakes but began to coast to try and adjust her speed....too late!
9500ix went full bars on K band and then the lights came on! Best she can tell is he was sitting back in the woods after she crested the hill waiting for the right car and she never saw him. Sounds like he made a visual assessment then came after her and pulled the trigger!
Just another example that you can get caught and your eyes are still the best defense!
