Redlne bogey counter
So far my Redline's been the bomb. Over the past week I encountered what was reported as double bogey Ka hits. However I only passed a single LEO. This was in the boon docks so no other cross streets.
The only thing I could figure is the double count was that the LEO was transmitting both front and rear antennas. Wondering if V1's count 2 in this case as well.

V1 frequently over counted on bogey's for me.

Re: Redlne bogey counter
not sure about the redline, but I know back in the day, my x50 would always show two ka's for nysp. I remember reading it wasn't because of front and rear radar, but because of the specific radar gun being used. anyone able to chime in?

Re: Redlne bogey counter
So the Redline will show you how many threats there are?
-
Re: Redlne bogey counter
The Redline doesn't have a bogey counter. Only the V1 does. The Redline has "Expert Mode". The V1 would count two bogeys if the LEO was transmitting both his front and rear radar antenna.

Yes, by way of the expert mode. It shows them as separate intensity lines adjacent to the signal type. I believe it counts a max of 4. You can see a screen shot (below on follow up post)

They do but I don't see it very often.

You will be missed.
How did “Radar Roy” Dominate Radar Detector Sales Online When He Never Sold A Single One?
Sales came easily. He sold you a persona. He sold “Radar Roy.” He sold an ex-cop and expert. He sold a guy who was nice enough to cross over from being “the man.” He shared knowledge and recommendations directly with his “Perfect Customer.” His message created their “Fantasy Result” of not getting speeding tickets. And oh by the way, if you had interest in buying a radar detector, Roy Reyer’s Radarbusters network of 45 websites would also be nice enough to sell you exactly what you needed. This is how he built the multi-million dollar online empire that totally dominated an industry.

Well, on the Redline is does not show up as a number but a separate bar graph. You not only get the number of bogey's but relative signal strength as well.

The demo display above is a little over the top, but normally you get something like : Ka || (2 bogeys) or Ka | (single)
The bar's height showing signal strength

Re: Redlne bogey counter
Switching to SpecMode, the frequency should change as you pass a dual-signal, directional source.
If it doesn't . . . . . . . . . . . . . dreaded ghosting ? - - - - -
