Quote from Escort's board from Escort Rep:
It's pretty slick actually. It currently doesn't communicate with any attached detector directly.
The SC55 is programmed to recognize the audio of Beltronics, Escort, and Valentine detectors. You plug a cable from the earphone jack of the detector into the SC55 and set the SC55 to the proper brand name of this detector. The SC55 will then handle the audio and display of the attached detector. You can leave your current detector display on also or put it in dark mode.
The SC55 audio alerts are the same clear female voice and tones as the 9500s, RedLine, and Qi45.
Cruise alert works with any detector attached and supported by the SC55 (Bel, Escort, V1)
Just so you know the V1 does not have a earphone jack on it. I guess it gets the audio from the RJ11 jack?
Also, can you still use the V1's remote display with the SC55?
