I was perusing App World tonight and I found a new app from Escort.
"ESCORT, the leading manufacturer of radar and laser detectors, brings its expertise to your BlackBerryģ device with our exclusive Defenderô application! ESCORTís Defender application provides audible and visual alerts for the threats you choose. And now for a limited time, you can test drive ESCORTís Defender application for 30-days absolutely free.
Protect yourself from being targeted with ESCORTís proprietary Defender application.
Donít just driveÖÖ.Drive Smarterô"
My First impressions:
It's very simple and easy to use.
The voice alerts are the same voice as the 9500ix.
$9.99 with a 30 day free trial.
The map is very plain and basic. This is OK because you won't use the map much and not using it for navigation. It probably helps with the speed of the app as well, but I would like to be able to use Google Maps.
I'll try to do a proper review over the week end putting it up against the 9500ix and Trapster.
Only thing is, now I may want to trade the ix for the one with the arrows!
