Does anyone have an Entourage?

I am thinking of getting the Entourage. If anyone has one, I have a question for you.

Question 1: The Entourage CIS which is vehicle installed, has the benefit of being hidden and hence more secure. However it only has 2 days of internal battery power, which means if you are away for a few weeks it will drain the car battery. I would want my car to start if I am away for a month with no problems. Would this be a problem?

Question 2: Is it possible to install an Entourage PS in a way that is secure, and runs of the car battery like the CIS. The fact that the PS has a 7 day battery does a lot to diminish my battery concern since most of my trips away from home are either 4 days or 10 days.

Your wife should go for it. I am visiting family for the Holidays, and I put a Zoombak (similar product) in my Dad's car. It was great, we could get an advance warning on when my mother and my girlfriend are coming back from the supermarket!

can't answer your questions except to say there are less expensive, better solutions out there for the most part.

There is only one less expensive solution I found - the Zoombak. I got one and have been testing it for the 1 month trial period.

2 things concern me about Zoombak:
1) The reviews on both Amazon and Best Buy.com suggest a high failure rate in the first 6 months
2) They require a 12 month contract, so if your device fails, you still have to pay 12 months of service. If you buy a new device they tack another 12 months onto the contract. I don't have an issue with the contract - but with the faulty device policy.

In addition it doesn't seem to be as precise or provide as much information as the Escort product.

Other products like Ituran DriveIt, and Spark Nano are more expensive than Escort on monthly service, and device price is the same when you look at dealer price as opposed to MSRP.
