Default Should Redline be better than V1 against K Band

After running the Redline for over a month I have noticed that against my daily K band falses it alerts at the same location the V1 would and sometimes the V1 alerts slightly farther away from the false location than the Redline would have. After some Ka band encounters I think the Redline is superior at least against 35.5 and 33.8. But against K band it seems like it's a draw. Other members that own a Redline/V1 is the sensitivity to K band about the same ?

(I don't run them together, these observations are with just one RD running)

My V1 and 9500ci are neck-and-neck on K band, so I say no.

On most locations my RedLine alerts at about the same spot that my V1 did. I did pick up a couple new spots that the RedLine alerts to K-Band where the V1 didn't. I think this might be due to the M3 being more consistent with sweeping the full 200 MHZ band width......and then some.

I think the V1 gets a bit of a boost by being in POP mode. In this mode it sweeps both the K-Band AND 33.8 five times.......actually six times......the normal rate. By spending more time looking at these frequencies, it effectively jacks up the V1's sensitivity on these bands.

BTW.........the 3.872 in the 2009 GOL tests achieved it's best Ka range against 33.8 and dominated on K-Band as well.

One peculiar thing I just noticed........the 9500ci was not listed in the 2009 K-Band test?

My Redline on K band normally gives me about a 1/2 to 3/4 (approx) second earlier warning time on most of the known false locations I go through. My V1 (3.864) does have some age on it (3 yrs w/no tune up) compared to my Redline (2 1/2 months), this might have a little bit to do with it on the warning differences.

In my experience, for on-axis K-band signals the V1 and Redline are about the same, but the Redline is more sensitive to off-axis signals.

So, the Redline is more likely to pick up falses or LEOs on side streets that aren't threats, but it also increases the chance of an early warning when rounding a curve.

I would expect them to be about the same on C/O with the V1 being slightly more reactive to I/O and QT. I would LOVE to see some formal testing on this, however.
