V1 integration was planned when we first announced the SC55 in Nov 2009 but has since been cancelled. The SC55 will not currently interface with a V1.

You have to wonder if the Lawyers got to this one?

If the SC-55 was in fact initially designed to pass on alert displays of the V1, would that have included the arrow indicators..........and if so.......would that not still be an infringement on Valentine's patent?

Good point nine, but could also have been as simple as no ear phone jack on the V1. Would love to hear what our friend Escort Radar has to say about this one....

Or market research showed that it would validate a V1 purchase. Take myself for example. I've been trying to decide between my V1 and my Redline. V1 has arrows, but Redline has far superior range. I was leaning toward Redline, but now I'm certain that the V1 gets religated to back-up status since I really want the functionality of the SC55 as I see Camera's becoming a bigger and bigger threat daily.

Now I realize I can get Cheetah products for the V1, I'm just don't care for the look of them. I'm not sure I'd call the SC55 pretty, but I far prefer its look to the Cheetah and having the display match the Redlines is also a big plus.

Now that I've made that choice, its down to which V1 gets to ride shootgun in the other car with the 9500ci, the 3.813 with its better range or the 3.864 with POP mode.

Just stupid and disappointing. I don't mind it not working with the V1, but to make a universal product not universal doesn't make sense.

There is always the Cheeta... but i guess we should have known, why help VR have a better product.

Very disappointing for me as well. I consider my V1 very very noisy and chatty for my environment and I was looking forward to mitigating that with the SC-55. After months of waiting, at ship time the feature is not available. There are no red light cameras in this part of the state so I don't even need that function for the most part, I just need something inexpensive that will mute my V1 at less than 30 mph and honestly I would have paid $$$ for it. The subscription was almost a deal-breaker but I was still willing.

I have an x50 for my second car but I don't drive it often and I have the 9500ix for my motorcycle and there's no room/space and no need for the SC-55 since the 9500ix is very quiet to begin with and I probably can't hear/see the SC55 on my sport bike. Why I would keep the SC55, I dunno yet.

The market is there for a V1 implementation, V1 owners are everywhere. And I believe we'll have a good solution later this year, already thinking about it (that's my best guess). So what are my options here, the C100? I like the c50 much better but I know that doesn't work, is there a "C150" or equivalent soon? Maybe the mirror?
