I've been thinking about buying a Redline for a while now, and I'm pretty close to Pulling the trigger. I had a question though. If I purchased from Radarbusters would they have current stock like buying from Escort? Or earlier Redline models?
I just don't want an early serial number Redline. I know things can happen with any product early or late models, but for me I would feel more comfortable with a more current model/serial number.
I didn't buy a redline but i purchased a 9500i from RB last week and I got a 0809 (8th week of 2009) Man. date model. That tells me it had been sitting there a while. Just my experience. Hope that helps.
This is not a knock on RB's as I don't think the 9500i's sell as well since the ix's came out. I would definitely recommend buying from them though. My order was handled well. I made a post about my order in the RB forum.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks for the help.
I'm sure you would get a recent build. Why not get it from Amazon though? Free shipping and no taxes (for most states), $499.95 delivered.
I went through Escort directly for the $80 trade in offer. I did have to pay $16 for shipping though (UPS Ground).

I'm not sure about buying RD's from Amazon or many others around the net.
Especially with so many sellers being on the unauthorized reseller list. Even if someone's not, I don't want to spend $400 plus and take a chance.
Fwiw. I got a PM from Radar Roy, and he told me RB's stock is changed out every 30 days, so he said, I would get a current model. I don't have a RD that I need to trade in, plus I'm going to get a discount from RB, so that kind of makes up for not having a trade in.
Thanks for your replies. Also thanks to Roy.
Update.. I went ahead and ordered one tonight. Should receive it Thursday.
