    Default Supercup Mount

Does anyone know if this will stick over the black dots above the RVM? It looks pretty heavy duty, just wondering if anyone has tried.

Nope mine fell off when I tried and that was before I put the rd on it.

Mine does hold firmly but the dots only cover the top 30% of the suction cup, the windshield covers the lower portion or roughly 70%.

I tried the 30% or less and it still fell off.
    Maybe my dots are bigger?

I would not mount any suction cup over the ceramic dots. It just asking for it to fall off. If you need to mount over the ceramic dots (like I did) modify your stock RD mount. I myself use "superlock fasteners" I purchased this at RadioShack. I copied it from this http://www.radardetector.net/forums/...-your-rvm.html

Sorry it didn't work for you. The superlock fasteners might be the way to go.

    It's under the RVM now.
Seems to be the best place for it when using the supercup.
With the stock mount it will fit next to the RVM (left side) just nice but bounces a lot so that's why I bought the supercup.

I used this for a while but it fell apart after a month of use. That was with two hours of use per day. Poor quality. I replaced it with the BlendMount. So far it is much more stable.

There was a similar post on the Valentine section a short while ago - solution was to use thick shipping tape over dots to make a flat surface.

I just use the stock mount and leave it under my RVM. Not enough room above it and if I mount it above and to the left it points left instead of straight.
