Default 9500ix has trouble locking out a X Band false

There is a X band false in small town I drive through alot and I swear I have locked it out at least 3 times. I waited for autolearn to lock it out but it never did. So I locked it out manually. But today I got a X band alert again. I know the frequency of those door openers drift some but at this point you would think I would have all of X band locked out. It's just weird I have locked out 100's of false sources with no issues but this area gives my IX problems. I know there are multiple X band sources in that area I am thinking that might have something to do with it.

If I understand correctly, the auto lock feature also has an autoUNLOCK feature. Say you pass a false 3 times and it gets locked out, well, if you pass it again and the IX doesn't detect the false where it should, I believe it unlocks it.

I also have the same problem, I know where an X-band false is, but I don't encounter it everytime, so it doesnt get locked out.

divvichild is correct. The 9500ix has an unlearn or unlock feature, which cannot be disabled, that will remove the locked out signal if it does not see it any longer at that location and at that frequency. It does this un-announced, there is no display or alert for an "unlock". With AutoLearn on the 9500ix will also automatically store the new drifted to signal.

The 9500i has no "unlearn" feature however. If you had a 9500i, you could conceivably manually lock out a good portion of a band at that location due to re-locking the frequency drifts.

Lately I too have been noticing my 9500ix alerting to, and storing again, several local falses. This is most probably due to the large temperature changes we are experiencing in southwest OH, eg 85'F to 35'F in a 24 hour period then back up again

Not sure exactly if you manually locked it out a few times? But the best way to insure a wide lock out with multiple falses is to do it manually. It may also require a few passes when there are multiple falses.
