This seems to be the general consensus and has been backed up by testing IIRC.

I run the ix as well. Havnt turned pop on since i bought it. Its already slow enough scanning without band segmentation, no reason to slow it down more with stuff like POP, SWS, or TSR.

So will TSR slow it down also, do I need to turn that off?

TSR filters for K band drones that shoot intermittently (which makes it hard for truelock to lock out) that some states put on their highways. If your state uses these drones and you encounter them and they drive you crazy, leave it on. If your state doesnt or you can handle the noise, leave it off. It reduces K band sensitivity, and additional filtering always = slower scanning.

SWS slow's down my detector? Interesting, any tests ever done in relation to this?

I would imagine so. Every time your detector 'sees' a K band signal (which SWS uses) its going to have to check it to see if it is a threat or an SWS message before alerting.
