This sometimes happens to me. Usually, if your traveling north/south and the camera is east/west it will do that and always going away.

A lot of people experience this issue and ones similar to it regarding the timing of when the detector alerts. Hopefully the next firmware update will address this (and add a USA mode/band segmentation ).

This happens to me occasionally at one particular intersection in Houston between a major freeway and FM road. No where else.

No, I have that happen pretty regularly. I don't think there is anything that can be done about that though. What I think OP is referring to is he got an alert for a cam that was not in the direction he was heading, IE he was heading northbound and the red light cam was for EB traffic at the intersection. This has only happened once to me, but I have seen it, I think maybe it has something to do with GPS signal accuracy, but I dunno.
