I've read concerns about the 9500ix locking out LEOs in marked spots. I've had my 9500ix for a year and have not seen that is the case. It seems to distinguish by point source locked out falses and new radar signals from LEO. For example, West U and Bellaire neighboorhoods both have a lot of K band falses from strip center retailers (Walgreens, CVS, Randalls, etc.). They also have a significant number of local LEOs running both K and Ka band radar, which I still pick up even with falses locked out. Nothing is infalliable, but it seems to work well. Of course, you'd be foolish to speed in Bellaire, West U, or any neighborhood.
