There still might be hope. It says the same thing about Cobra, and they released a couple of detectors.

It also says the same thing about some other companies that have released or shown new products there already, such as Sony, TIVO, XM Satellite Radio, etc etc...

yes Jim, I saw Cobra and Whistler listed but didnt check them out. I just typed in radar detectors and Escort showed up so I looked. Probably I could have typed in Beltronics too but I didnt.

Hopefully the 1620 gives 1620 additional feet of Ka warning.

Well 1620 was the year the pilgrims landed. I dont think the Escort 8500 1620X50 will be as much of a historic landmark as the pilgrims, just a hunch tho. heh!

I think its time for Jimbonzzz to develop a radar detector and have Roy sell it, and then everyone will be happy(@$$), and Mike V will have some real competition.

Jim if you develop a radar-detector, I will be the first to invest in your company, Im sure there are others here who would do the same.

Thanks a lot for the vote of confidence, but I'm still a looooong way off from Mike V's level.

However, if you had a few million dollars or so to invest in a radar detector company, I could guarantee you that my engineering team and I could would up with SOMETHING.
