Default Best way to test a 9500ix?

So i have had the 9500ix for abour 3 weeks now. I mix of half highway and half local. I have yet to experiance a KA band only K and annoying X bands.

As for redlight cameras i detect them on the freeways which is kinda annoying, but the one red light camera outside my work i dont get a beep till im 100 ft away.

any tips to test if my detector is faulty?

3 more months and reading some of the sticky's here with it will do the trick. Noting is probably wrong with it. It just takes time to get to know any new RD.

-To embrace technology is not to blindly accept it. We must always question technology but never be afraid to use it.
-No one detector is perfect for everyone. And the one you don’t like may be perfect for someone else.

Do the firmware update. It makes the redlight camera alerts directional depending which direction you enter the intersection. This cuts down on a lot of annoying redlight camera alerts.

I've had mine about 2 weeks and was surprised that it knew of a red light camera by my office that is only about 3-4 months old.

That's one thing about the Red Light Camera updates on the 9500ix, Escort is very good with the latest. I live in NYC and they are constantly installing new Red Light Cameras.

I notice new alerts all the time driving tyhe same roads after updates.
