The 80.00 is not a guarantee. It depends on the caliber of your trade in. If you buy a new RD be sure to add the trade in to your cart. It will have a zero dollar value. They will send you instructions on what to do and where to send it. I just sent mine in.

For a while, it was $80 guaranteed, but no more. A high end Bel for a new bel would get $80, as would a decent Escort for another Escort, but now it seems to be back to the $30-80 range. What will get you $80 on the Bel/Escort trade ins, will net you more somewhere else.

BS, the $80 is for any detector, working or not, you don't even send the power cable.

"For a limited time only you are eligible to receive an $80 rebate."

"Trade in any detector - competitor or ESCORT, and we'll give you $80 on your trade when you purchase any new ESCORT Radar Detector."

I sent a 30 year old "Fox" and got 80 bucks. Go to a pawn shop and buy one for $5.

I sent in my 10yr old bel 890 without power cord. It still powered on but ka was flaky so it had been sitting in the closest for the past 5 years.

Got $80. Just make sure you put the trade in offer in your cart when checking out. There is no obligation and no harm done if you don't return a detector later for credit. You just can't get the 80.00 dollar credit offer for a purchased item later on if you don't put it in the cart at the time of checkout.

I know different people have different experiences but personally escort customer service is top notch.

My bad. I mis-understood. My apologies.
