Today, while driving on I-25 north in Colorado Springs, I got my first true laser hit from a Colorado State Patrolman using an ultrlyte gun. Now, here's where it gets strange. First of all, the guy left his 34.7 KA gun ON while he was shooting his lidar gun so I had picked him up way before I got hit by the laser. With that said, I drive an 02' SVT Ford Focus which is metallic Black. Not only that but my headlights have that dirty grungy look on the inside of them and they aren't "shiny" like they would be if I had a new car. So, after this CSP trooper shot me, I immediately noticed that he started looking at his gun like something might be wrong with it. I am thinking that my black car and faded headlights may have caused him to fail to get a lock with his ultralyte gun. BTW, I picked up this laser hit with the latest version 6.5 on the 8500X50 and had already adjusted my speed before he shot me.
