Escort 7500

Did the 7500S ever offer POP mode? I recently saw a used one that said "Now with POP
Protection" on the box. I thought the X50 was the first Escort to offer POP. Could that 7500S have been a counterfeit unit?

The Escort 8500 X50 was the 1st Escort to come out with POP protection and it came out after the Escort 8500 which had no POP protection either.

Here is the manual from the Escort 7500S and there is no mention of POP.

Thanks. I didn't think it had POP, but I don't know Escort would put it on the box.

Maybe it was a free can of pop to go with the 7500
