Looking to buy an RD - Escort 8500 Refurb?

Hey everyone!

I've been doing some research here on the forum, and it appears the Escort 8500 seems to be a good choice - especially the refurb. I'm looking to spend right around that price ($150), too. Does anyone want to offer input, suggestions, etc for the RD?

Hey I just bout a 8500 off ebay if you buy a used one from a private person ask for the last few digits of the serial number to get the year it was made.. i bought one and it was a 04 so i just had to send it in to Escort to have it serviced

Make the right choice and go through with it. It lacks POP mode, but apparently it's useless anyway. I love my for the 4 days I've had it so far.

For that price range and even higher I would recommend a refurbed 8500. I bought one.

You want be disappointed with the refurb. 8500. Clearly it's one the best deals going right now as far as bang for your buck goes. You are NOT going to get another RD of this class in this price range! Go ahead and get it!!!

Ive had mine for like 2 or 3 weeks now. Its amazing. So many saves here in the 25 mph downtown speed trap.

Very Nice purchase! You will not find a better buy for $150.

Good buy! It should be easy to make back $150 in very little driving.
