Default Redline vs. 8500 x50 *NEW QUESTION*

Which is better for more short distance trips?
needs sensitivity, range, not too many false's (as i am aware they will all give false's),reliable,
the redline is making me hesitant as people tend to say they give alot of falses..
i dont care about the gps etc...
just looking for raw radar detecting.

    NEW QUESTION
after reviewing the redline and the 8500 x50... i dont see the difference between them besides the redline not being able to be detected...
im looking to save money.... and if the 8500 is the same thing than i would rather save the $200....
    what would you say?

    RedLine.

Though i love the 9500ix's filtering if your not interested in GPS that's a lot of what the 9500ix is about. RedLines Auto mode works quite well too.
