1 vs. 3 yr. subscription & maybe a new detector soon?

Been pondering whether to subscribe for a 1 or 3 yr. subscription database for my 9500ix which has now expired.

If something new is on the horizon, I may want to trade it in for that and go with the 1 yr. plan instead of the 3 yr. one which would be useless if I traded-up.

Anything new coming along shortly as maybe in one using the V1 location arrows in the next year? Seems they like to come out with something every year or two and it's about time.
