Default Is it the unit or the aux speaker?

So i have my Redline hooked up to my aux speaker. When I get an alert, SOMETIMES the words and the tones sound very static like. I can reach up and move the plug where it plugs into the Redline and it will change sounds.....I HAVE NOT NOTICED IT WHILE USING THE REDLINE'S SPEAKER INSIDE THE UNIT. I also never noticied it when using my RX65 with the same 2 month old speaker(which was purchased brand new, its a Beltronics one). I do not know what it is? I have plugged in other 3.5mm audio devices such as my droid X and Ipod and did not notice any static.
Is it possible that some type of dust or film inside the Redline's 3.5mm jack is causing this? Should I try a "keyboard spray duster"? Or do you think the Redline's 3.5mm jack is damaged? Any advice would be nice to help the annoying issue. Thanks again....

Unfortunately it sounds like there is a problem with the aux audio jack. Using the speaker with your RX65 without issue eliminates the speaker as the problem. Please call us to set up servicing your RedLine.

I do not recommend spraying contact cleaner inside the case.

Yea. I guess ill have to send it in...I called and got an order number. The lady said that I can send it in an it may take up to two weeks! Ahh! So I will have to wait till the last week in november. That's prob the best time for me to go without protection....it just sucks. O well. As long as it gets fixed

Sounds to me like you are using a Stereo plug in the mono socket, the Redline output is mono.

Why did you create two threads about the same issue? I mean what the hell...

Is your problem with the RX65 or the Redline?
I have a Redline and have had the exact same scratchy distortion that you have described, I use it with a stereo bluetooth transmitter plugged into the Aux most of the time and had to try many different 3.5 plugs before finding one that worked without any problems, even though they are all 3.5 they still all vary in size slightly, I ended up using the stereo plug that the fitted the best in the Aux output but I had to solder the left & right channels together in the bluetooth device to get the audio in both headset speakers without the scratchy distortion.
Is the plug stereo or mono?
