Redline laser alert

This was a first one with my Redline. My drive to work takes me adjacent to a large shopping mall. I went to work early this morning, when I got a laser alert from Redline. Empty parking lot ahead of me, no cars.

Took me 15 seconds of puzzlement to realize it was the rising sun in front of me just above the horizon. I tried to duplicate it in the parking lot, but I guess you have to get it "just right" for it to alert.

my redline never falses laser, which is the only reason i left laser on. it's really good at that. my STI R and V1 would false like crazy so i just turned it off. I've only left it on to see how well it can pick up laser and if it can ever get scatter. so far, no. all alerts have been legit.

only one false in my garage when i turned on my car and my LI powered on, it alerted to laser.

The 9500ci will false if you look at it funny. Glare off of chrome bumpers, glare off of side mirrors... There's an ice cream place in the area, that when I turn into their drive (Steep upward angle) the zr4s point at their neon sign. I usually get a "bleep-bleep" from the laser alert (nothing more since i'm only going 5 mph so as not to scrape on the driveway).

Escort's lidar detection is the most sensitive I've seen, to the point of sometimes being TOO sensitive, but also at times being helpful. I have picked up scatter from a car in front of me with the escort, slowed down, and then had my LI go off when the LEO actually shot me.

Same, but only one, and with my ZR4's to confirm plus visual. The funny part is the RedLine alerted to scatter before my CI & V1, very odd and never happened again.

I have never had a laser alert on mine other than Oyusan shooting it once ... at least I know it works, otherwise I would be wondering. So much nicer than the V1 which falsed the sun every day.

Got passed by an Infinity SUV and got a Laser alert from my Redline on the way to Vegas yesterday. 1st Laser alert from the Redline so far.

My Redline hasn't falsed yet, but I've only had it a few months.
