Default Anyone in the DC area want to help me hardwire my new x50?

Just figured I would throw this out there, since I am kind of up for doing it myself, but would feel a lot more comfortable if anyone was around and wouldn't mind giving me a hand (I would come to you of course, ideally anyone in the Georgetown, College Park or NoVA areas). It should get here in the next week or so. I forgot to, but am planning on ordering a hardwire kit from roy (with the mute button). If not then I guess I'll try doing it myself with help from everyones comments in other forums as to how to do this.

My other question with this is I would like to wire in a kill switch, I know some of you have mentioned doing this, and I was wondering what recommendation you had in doing this?

Lastly, does anyone know the actual law in Washington D.C. I know radar detectors are illegal, but it would be nice to see the law in it's own words, and I have yet to be able to find it anywhere. I posted this in "How to beat a ticket" but haven't received a single response.

    Thanks.

Get yourself a mini-fuse tap and the proper connectors at RadioShack ($1.50 maybe) and tap into your Radio fuse. That way your detector will turn off and on when you turn your car off and on.

It's really not that difficult. You can do it.

Yeah, I am fine doing the electrical, the only thing I wasnt too sure about is snaking the wires through the back of the steering column. Also, I want an extra kill switch. I am planning on wiring it to the radio so it is def off when the car is off... but want a kill in case you get pulled over you can kill it quickly.
