Default 9500ci Speaker / Volume Control Problem

Whenever I hold down the volume button, the volume doesn't ramp up and down. Noting happens at all.
The button works as I am able to hold the two buttons to enter the menu and navigate through.
I've tried updating the detector and re-installing the software but nothing works.

    Any ideas?

Try massaging the buttons, but it sounds like its broke.

I would contact EscortRadar on the Escort Forum http://escortradarforum.com/forums/member.php?u=11 Or call customer service.

My volume button also takes quite a bit of massaging to get it to work. Really a pain in the butt to adjust the settings as the head doesn't recognize the volume press so I end up changing the brightness numerous times.

That's what I initially thought, a fault with the switch but it works perfectly when going through the preference menus.
I'll contact Escort to see what happens.

I tried massaging the volume key and it worked! Guess there was some gunk making it stick. Thanks guys

I am going to take mine apart and see what's going on under the button. If not, I already called Escort and got setup to send it in for repair in case I can't fix it. If it's out of warranty it's a flat fee of $50 to fix.
