    Default Muting x50

Hi everyone, I'm quite new to the x50 but im just a little confused on the mute button. While driving down the road, I experienced K-band while driving. Im pretty positive it was coming from the sliding doors. It always happens when I pass by the store. But I was wondering what the mute button does? Does it just mute for that specific time until the radar dies down? Sorry, just conffused on the mute thing. And I was wondering what setting do you recommend to put your x50 on? Radar roy recommends highway...but I was wondering maybe I could have yalls input. Thanks everyone!

Yes the mute only silences the detector for that particular encounter. But if you pickup a second radar source the x50 will alert while still suppressing the original source.

As for what mode to operate on... it's a matter of need/preference. I do 95% of my driving in the city, so I run in City mode w/low X and POP off. If you run on a high speed highway on your commute to work then you should probably run highway mode. The other options like X and POP depend on whether or not they are a threat in your area. I've been saved by POP before, but the constant alerts on my commute negate the advantage in may case, so I turn it off. But if I'm traveling through an area I don't know, I turn everything on. 8)

anyone use the earphone jack in the X50??
I'll search for that one.. ;-)

I would like to wire it into my car stereo with a one way filter.
Anyone ever do that? I crank my tunes like I was 16 still....
