    Default Redline 11 miler

I actually got 2 detects exceeding 10 miles with Redline over the weekend, both in the same open valley in central Utah on I-15, south of the town of Fillmore. This is an open valley where the interstate rises up and over a hill on both ends. The valley itself is about 15 miles across. Utah Highway Patrol running 34.7 (actual freq was 34.666 - same cop on both runs), one on Friday and the other last night. Cop was parked on ramp running Ka I/O. First was 11.5 miles, the other was around 12.

Sorry, no video - in both cases it was after dark and my camera sucks at night vision.

Even in flat desert terrain that is amazing detection distance.

This is only possible with line-of-sight with nothing in the way - or very little. There was basically no traffic.
    Also elevation helped here.

Yeah, I've driven something like 60,000 miles with this thing now, waiting for one of these super long detects. But it required this open valley, elevation, etc.
The LEO was shooting forward, opposite direction sitting on an onramp. I think this is as good as it can get. I did end up driving PSL for a long time, however.

That is amazing range. The best, I've ever heard of. However, this is the reason I really wouldn't care for anything more than a mile or two. Who wants to be driving the PSL for 11 miles? After driving the PSL for that long, the speeding you've done (the extra 10-20+ PSL) has now really been irrelevant. In any fashion, that is extraordinary range and some pretty sweet stuff to be witnessing.
