    Default which fuse?

Noob here. I did a direct wire smart cord to my Escort Redline in my Vue. It was easy to tap into the radio switched power.

My friend saw it, and bought the same setup. I was going to do the install in his 09 Escalade if it wasn't too difficult. I saw the fuse panel on the side of the dash, but I don't know if there is one to use an "add-a-fuse".

Please help or point me in the right direction. Many thanks!

Still looking for help. The radio fuse on the 09 Escalade is under the hood. I would like to "add a fuse" to the inside dash panel. I don't want to make a good guess, I want to be sure. Thanks.

There's also a junction box under the dash on the driver's side (near where a clutch pedal would be) that has switched terminals. GM makes a connector with pig tail wires intended for dealer installed headrest DVD's that will plug in down there. If I can find the P/N I'll let you know.

Why not just tap into the cig lighter 12V outlet?
