    Default 9500i love!!!

Ok so I want to post my experiences with the 9500i.

I live in a big city tons of falses.

The fact I can lockout the true falses and construction signs is awesome.

I have had 2 Valentine ones both latest and I have traded them for the 9500i.

The constant falses from the V1 made me insane

I loved the arrows and everything but major city is a no no for the V1 even with automute setup.

I thank Escort for coming out with a excellent filtering unit.

** PS if I drove long distances on the HWY I would have a V1 and 9500I or IX for city.

X2, loved my 9500I, its a good performer and doesn't totally numb you to falses. The 9500 series is my favorite line of product. Real genius concepts put into that thing even with its minor imperfections.

I love my 9500i. I occasionally turn the V1 off and run the 9500i. But this only happens when I fight my girlfriend for it.

For the city, sure the 9500i is great, but it can't compete with the V1 on the highway. Whatever works for you

The 9500i is just as good on the highway as the V1 in practical scenarios. My 9500's did just as well preventing a ticket as any other RD i have owned on the highway (even the V1). I even had a speed trap save in VA from my 9500ix that no other RD would have saved me from as well. Some of the advantages the V1 has over the 9500i for highway is the arrows, very quick responce, and a slight sensitivity advantage that's kind of negated by the 9500i less falsing improving reaction time.

It all comes down to that small ten percent of additional sensitivity that's needed for a noisy RD to figure out if its a real threat or not as apposed to a quiet RD that you know when it goes off its real. Both are great and both serve there own purpose.

M4 platform is great for most situations, but it'll bite you one day with poor I/O alerts - especially if it's off axis. if I/O was not a constant threat here I'd get a 9500 for the city.

I never had a problem with I/O alerts with any of my 9500I/IX's, and had plenty of warning, even had a few I/O warnings over 1mi. Off axis isint as strong as some outer RD's but thats where cosine error comes into play to our advantage.

I'm glad it working out for you! I'm having fun programming speed traps into it! Very practical detector!

It's alerted every time to keep me ticket free, but some encounters have been close.
